Pay What You Can

At Free-Op Community Store, everyone deserves access to essentials, regardless of their financial situation. With our pay-what-you-can policy, you decide what’s affordable—ensuring dignity, kindness, and community for all.

Our Mission

Here at Free-Op Community Store, we have found a passion for helping our community through providing access to essential basic needs. We believe every person is deserving of nice things to fill their homes and take care of their families.

Free-Op opened its doors in Jeannette, PA on December 18th, 2023. Since then, we have welcomed many individuals and families from near and far. We offer clothing, home items, personal care items, toys, diapers, a Westmoreland Food Bank emergency food pantry, and much more. We describe Free-Op as a non-profit thrift store. We have all the great finds of a thrift store with a PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN policy to allow access to everyone.

Whether you are a family in need during a difficult time or you’re just looking for a more sustainable shopping experience, come check us out! We are here for you!

Your donations ensure families in need have access to essential items that promote dignity, comfort, and security.

At Free-Op Community Store, we’re committed to making basic necessities accessible to everyone, but we can’t do it alone. We’re seeking monetary contributions (TAX-DEDUCTIBLE!) to keep our doors open and continue serving the community. If you have gently used or new essentials, consider donating to our cause!
